The sE1000a was an entry level condenser mic for studio vocals and instrument recording. The sE 1000a had a 1/2" capsule tuned to accept low frequencies just like a larger diaphragm mic. Sister product (analogue only) to the USB1000a, the sE1000a performed well above its price point and looked the business. The sE X1 has replaced the sE1000a in the sE microphone family.
