So this is the Rosewood back and sides version of the 1 series Sigma dreadnought acoustic guitar. This sigma DR-1ST looks great and sounds amazing, especially when you take its very modest price into consideration. No one does dreadnoughts better than the original company. Martin guitars developed and created so many classic ranges and body styles and designs. Head and shoulders above all the other acoustic designs stands the dreadnought. The humble dreadnought has a robust open sound that has plenty of projection. These guitars are great for singer songwriters and are highly recommended for any player looking for a step up from a standard student level instrument. These are great instruments to play with a plectrum as they project and sustain remarkably well. All in all this Sigma DR-1ST has a real quality tone and a well built easy to play construction. We can find no fault in this guitar and particularly enjoy the rosewood back and sides. This is not only a great sounding instrument and easy to play. It looks good too !
We like the Solid spruce top and of course the upgraded rosewood back and sides. This Sigma DR-1ST has a rosewood fingerboard over a mahogany neck and features a 1-11/16 nut dimension. This is an easy to play easy to enjoy guitar that will not brake the bank. Its great that these instruments also come with Grover diecast tuners.
