The Gibson Les Paul LPJ electric guitar brings you all the features that made the original legendary but at an entry-level price to suit any budget. From its beautiful tone-woods, genuine humbucker pickups and innovative hardware through to its unique and stunning vintage finish, this guitar has all the hallmarks that's demanded by guitarists today.
Gibson have stayed true to the legendary tone-wood combination of a mahogany body complete with a two-piece maple top. The mahogany gives the Les Paul LPJ its richness and smooth sound and is strategically weight relieved while the maple top adds snap and clarity to the tone. The back is strategically weight relieved to make it exceptionally comfortable to play and also to enhance resonance. The ultra-hard wearing maple neck is glued into the body of the guitar and carved to an authentic '50s rounded profile that measures .818” at the first fret and .963” at the 12th. A stunning genuine rosewood fingerboard tops this containing 22 medium-jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays.
There is a 490R humbucker in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge position, a tried and tested combination and for full tonal customisation there is a 3 way switch as well as independent tone and volume controls for each of the pickups. The Les Paul LPJ has a beautifully simple stripped-down look, there's no fingerboard binding or pickguard cluttering the body. Other quality touches continue with a PLEK-cut nut made from black Corian to subtly echo the black speed knobs, black pickup rings and covers. The headstock is silk-screened with the traditional Gibson logo that stands clear and proud.
