The Sigma GMC-STE is a Grand OM Cutaway guitar. It features a solid Spruce top paired with Mahogany back and sides. What's more, the GMC-STE is fitted with a bone nut and saddle. This gives this guitar a superb acoustic tone that will quite easily shame bigger brands costing several times as much. It's bright and airy with plenty of body and detail. The Sigma GMC-STE doesn't just stop there. A Fishman Isys+ system with guitar tuner has been fitted for superb plugged in performance. The Mahogany neck has a wider 44.5mm nut and a substantial rounded profile. This can suit players with bigger hands or people who play fingerstyle.
Aesthetically Sigma have gone for a 'no frills' approach. There is no binding around the body or neck with just a simple multiply rosette around the soundhole to keep costs down. With good quality machine heads and great acoustic and plugged in tones, there really is very little to go against the Sigma GMC-STE. Whether playing plugged in or acoustically it gets the thumbs up from us!
