The Yamaha LSTA TransAcoustic Guitar has something we’ve never quite seen before – rich, detailed reverb and chorus adding to the guitar’s natural tone… built in to the guitar without any external amplification or effects!
The fantastic sound that comes out of the LSTA TransAcoustic is simply inspiring, and it just makes you want to play longer and more often. Thankfully, having the effects built into the guitar means it’s easy to just pick up and play, no matter where you are, and get that awesome, inspiring sound.
Yamaha have based the LS-TA on their L Series guitars for great playability. The LS-TA features a straighter neck taper and hand-rolled fingerboard edges which results in an instrument that can be played for hours without any discomfort.
How Does It Work?
Installed on the inner surface of the LSTA TransAcoustic Guitar is an actuator which vibrates in response to the vibration of the guitar strings.
The actuator’s vibrations are passed through the body of the guitar and the air in and around the guitar’s body thus generating authentic chorus and reverb sounds from inside the LS-TA’s body.
The Yamaha TransAcoustic features a simple three-knob control interface so you can independently adjust the amount of chorus and reverb applied.
The third knob acts as a lineout volume level controller while doubling as an On/Off button for the TransAcoustic effects.
Incredible, Innovative Yamaha Craftsmanship
Based on Yamaha’s L-Series guitars, the LS-TA TransAcoustic guitar features a modified non-scalloped bracing design to produce bright tone while enhancing the low end.
The solid Engelmann spruce top has been treated with Yamaha’s patented, innovative A.R.E. technology which gives the LSTA an incredibly rich, vintage tone which you’d usually only hear in guitars that have been played for years.
Beautiful, vintage and natural resonance from the moment you take the guitar out of the box and start playing.
