The Taylor GS Mini Mahogany is a compact and versatile acoustic guitar that offers a rich and balanced sound in a smaller package. It features a Grand Symphony Mini body shape, which combines a comfortable playing experience with a full-bodied tone. The top is made from tropical mahogany, known for its warm and responsive characteristics, while the back and sides are constructed from layered sapele for added durability and stability.
The mahogany neck provides a smooth and comfortable playing feel, with a scale length of 23-1/2 inches that offers a slightly shorter scale compared to standard-sized guitars. The fingerboard is made from West African Crelicam ebony, known for its smoothness and durability, and it features 20 frets for easy access to higher notes.
The GS Mini Mahogany is available with optional electronics, including the ES-Go pickup or the ES2 system. These onboard electronics allow you to amplify your sound easily when performing on stage or in a studio. The ES-Go pickup is a simple soundhole-mounted pickup, while the ES2 system provides a more comprehensive tone shaping and control options.
The guitar is equipped with chrome die-cast tuning machines that ensure stable and accurate tuning, while the bridge, also made from West African Crelicam ebony, provides excellent sustain and transfer of string vibrations. The nut and saddle are made from NuBone, a synthetic material that enhances the guitar's resonance and sustain.
The GS Mini Mahogany comes with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Light Gauge strings, known for their long-lasting tone and smooth feel. The guitar is finished in a satin finish, which not only enhances its natural beauty but also allows the wood to resonate freely for optimal sound projection.
