The top model of the current Revstar series: the RSP20XRBC Rusty Brass Charcoal. The RSP20XRBC offers a mahogany body with milled sound chambers for a lively, resonant sound and additional weight savings. The graphite-reinforced mahogany/rosewood neck is set in. A pair of Alnico humbuckers, in conjunction with the 5-way switch and the focus switch, provide a variety of sounds. The whole thing in meticulous "Made in Japan" processing.
With the Revstar series, Yamaha is launching a new guitar series with a cool retro design at the turn of the year 2015/2016. Inspired by the "Café Racer" motorcycles of the 1960s (tuned and stripped down to a bare minimum of street racing machines), the Revstar series models stand out from the guitar unit design. Unusual, matt finishes, some with "rally stripes", satin chrome hardware, etc. make the Revstar guitars eye-catchers. But this series can also score with "inner" values: strong, easy to play, set necks, solid hardware, powerful humbuckers or P-90 pickups and circuitry with a dry switch.
